ABOUT ME

My name is Katarina, but most people call me Kat. Unless, of course, you’re family. Then you probably know me as Nina; the name that stuck since I was a child because my little sister couldn’t pronounce Katarina. I am the mom of two sweet boys, the dog mom of a very large bloodhound, and the wife of a very goofy husband. I graduated from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi in 2018, where I met my college sweetheart. Four weeks before graduation, I gave birth to our first son, Maxon, via an emergency C-section. Since then, life has never been the same. I never knew how much motherhood would change my life until I became a part of it. As a family, we have tackled so many ups and downs in life together already. Shortly after Maxon's birth, I went through a horrible bout of postpartum depression. But after seeking treatment, I am happy to say I have come a long way. Now as a mom of two little boys, I can really say I have learned so much in the last 6 years. It’s rarely easy, but I tend to take it day by day and handle each day as it comes. Family means everything to me, so I'm always excited to share my stories of struggle and triumph as I progress through motherhood. I am and always will be an open book.

I am your average joe momma.
