My name is Katarina Garcia and I'm 26 years old, married, and the mother of a perfect 4-year old boy. I graduated from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi in 2018, where I met my now husband. Four weeks before graduation, I gave birth to our handsome son, Maxon, via an emergency C-section. Maxon spent over a week in the NICU where he gained the strength he needed to come home. Since then, life has never been the same. As a family, we have tackled so many ups and downs in life together already. Shortly after Maxon's birth, I went through a horrible bout of postpartum depression. But after seeking treatment, I am happy to say I have come a long way. Life as a young mom isn't always easy, and I want to share those hard experiences so that mothers feel less alone. Of course, being a mother also has its many fun moments, and I'm here to share those moments with you all too. Family means everything to me, so I'm happy to share my stories of struggle and triumph as I progress through motherhood day by day.
I am your average joe momma.
